We were proud to support NYJC in the first year of their ambitious workshop expansion.

Our support has helped them expand their regional jazz outreach activities going from two to six regions. These sessions gave the opportunity to children living in remote areas to access first class jazz tuitions. Affordable or free sessions were offered to students from all level wishing to develop their jazz and musical skills.  These workshops series took place across six regions in places such as Metal in Southend (Essex), Leighton Buzzard (Bedfordshire), Romsey (Hampshire), Rawmarsh (South Yorkshire) and Bristol.

The National Youth Jazz Collective owes a huge debt of gratitude to Ronnie Scott’s Charitable Foundation. Through your generosity we have been able to expand our regional work from serving London and Hampshire out to six centres this year, and to a planned 12 by 2021. Ronnie Scott’s Foundation will help us discover and develop new jazz talent from Southampton to Newcastle, from Bristol to Southend. You have had the vision to match our ambitions and underwrite the tuition of those who couldn’t afford it wherever we start new workshops – that will change many lives as well as bring new music into being – what a great legacy! Thanks.
